Stage 3

Building on the foundational knowledge and skills acquired in the earlier phases, this advanced stage delves deeper into the intricacies of Dr. William Glasser's Choice Theory and Reality Therapy. Participants will refine their techniques and strategies, focusing on mastery and nuanced application within various contexts. This stage is designed not only to solidify one's understanding but also to empower individuals to facilitate meaningful change effectively in those they assist. By the end of this advanced training, attendees will have honed their ability to apply these principles with greater sophistication and precision, preparing them for the subsequent levels of certification and professional practice.

Course Title: Reclaiming Hope - A CTRT-Based Masterclass on Suicide Intervention

Course Description

This intensive 2-day masterclass offers mental health professionals a robust, relationship-focused framework for working with individuals experiencing suicidal ideation. Grounded in Choice Theory & Reality Therapy, this training moves beyond conventional risk assessment protocols to focus on the art of building life-sustaining connections.

Participants will learn practical strategies to help clients deconstruct the logic of hopelessness and, through a powerful therapeutic relationship, rediscover a sense of choice and internal control. The curriculum is designed to empower practitioners to navigate these critical conversations with skill, compassion, and a clear therapeutic direction.

The final stage of the CTRT certification process is the Certification Stage. This pivotal phase is the culmination of all the training, practice, and supervision that candidates have undergone in the preceding stages.

During the Certification Stage, candidates are typically required to showcase their proficiency through a combination of assessments, which may include project presentations, and live demonstrations of their skills. They must provide evidence of their ability to effectively implement the principles and techniques of Reality Therapy with clients, underlining their competence in facilitating change and promoting well-being.

The evaluative process is rigorous and is intended to ensure that all certified practitioners meet the standards set by the institute. Successfully passing this stage grants the individual the title of CTRT certified, acknowledging their expertise and dedication to the practice. This certification not only validates their skillset but also opens the door to advanced professional opportunities and recognition in the field of therapy and counselling.
